DEVIL (2010)
I cant tell u how much i really enjoyed watching this movie..and definitely would watch this again if i get a chance.I must say Night Syamalan is back with a bang. After watching 'The last Airbender', I took a pledge that would be the last time I'm ever gonna pay to watch any movie, Night Syamalan is involved in. But today I broke my promise as I watched 'Devil'. And actually, I was not at all disappointed. In fact, I liked it. All right, I would say it...I loved this movie.
Night Syamalan has come up with a strong and interesting story. The plot looks so simple at the beginning, but it moves on, suspense unveils in a scary, yet logical fashion. The linking between all characters is portrayed in a very effective way. Nothing is ever a coincidence.
Direction is good. Acting is decent. Cinematography is appreciable, especially the wide variety of camera angles and frames attempted to portray a simple elevator as some claustrophobic scary machine. Sound effects are captivating.
I'm already waiting for his next flick!!!
FLAT(2010)
I wondered why children were allowed to this movie....and the answer was there was nothing that scared even them. And Why do all Indian horror films seem to be a desi take of either The Ring or The Grudge series? In short, why is there always a wailing woman with hair all over her face, leaving you staring into one barely visible eye. Scared are we? Sanjay Suri and Jimmy Sheirgill are a pair of fine actors who can deliver, provided they have something to deliver. But the movie is a real waste of time.....Boring is the verdict.
VA (QUARTER CUTTING-2010)
The story takes place during one night and basically there are only three characters. Its story revolves around a guy who comes to Chennai on a dry day when liquor shops are closed and he is going to fly to Saudi Arabia in a few hours time and his quest is to have one last ‘quarter cutting’!! On the whole, Va Quarter Cutting is a big letdown, despite having some of the best comic actors. The film is too long, and very bad script. The second half, in particular, is an endurance test for its silliness. There is nothing much that amuses me watching this movie!!!
MYNAA (2010)
The only assurance from the Myna movie director,Prabhu Solomon, is that his film will not disappoint the audience. The entire movie gives us the feeling of travelling in forest and thrilling encounters keeping the audience on the edges of their seats.Comedy is closely knitted with the storyline. A must watch and thumbs up!!!!
GOLMAAL 3 (2010)
Golmaal is back again!
This is the punch line of the movie and yeah, the real Golmaal is back after the dull and boring sequel Golmaal 2. This time director Rohit Shetty introduced emotional sequence .Acting wise, Mithunda is excellent. He willingly spoofs himself from his superstar days, and gets each movement right. Ajay does very well as the hot-headed hero. Kareena plays the tomboy with ease. Tusshar repeats his act nicely. Kunal Khemu is good, while Arshad Warsi appears over-weight, but fun.On the whole, Golmaal 3 is fun, it makes you laugh and cry, at the correct places. Watch it to have good time!!!
SKYLINE(2010)
What happened to english movies???This movie is part Independence day, part Clover Field and 100% hilarious. The story line started to get a little interesting when the credits started rolling out. The special effects were great and can't argue there. This is easily the worst movie I've seen this year. It's saying something when the writing is so bad that even an end-of-the-world alien invasion can't stop boring you senseless.
I'm a big sci-fi fan, but I honestly can't remember the last time I was this bored in the theater despite a few moments of great special effects. Avoid this movie at all costs....a serious advice!!!
